On Thursday night, Delhi Police captured Rizwan Ali.Nia wanted list arrest Authorities linked him to the Islamic State (IS) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) wanted him in multiple cases. The NIA had offered a Rs 3 lakh reward for his capture.

Police arrested Ali near Ganga Baksh Marg, close to Biodiversity Park, around 11 pm. They seized a .30 bore pistol, three live cartridges, and two mobile phones from him. Officers filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Special Cell police station in Delhi.

On July 22, 2023, police charged him with theft, forgery, and violations of the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
